Chris Insoll painting

Cornish artist Chris Insoll in his studioChris attended Chelsea School of Art and Falmouth School of Art before establishing himself in Portscatho, based in the heart of the Roseland Peninsula on the South Cornish Coast. Chris's work has been widely exhibited in both solo and group exhibitions throughout the United Kingdom and Europe. He now plays an integral role in the promotion of Cornish Art having founded the highly successful Portscatho Society of Arts in 1984.

Chris's work can be seen at Truro Museum and Art Gallery as well as at Falmouth Art Gallery.

Chris opened his gallery in Portscatho in 1985 and moved to his larger New Gallery premises in 1997 where studios are available to view as well as the main showroom. The gallery is an artist-run space specialising in the work of established West Country artists - most of whom also exhibit in London. At the New Gallery there is often the opportunity to meet the artists as well as to buy work from them. Amongst regular exhibitors at the gallery are: Chris Insoll, Lynn Golden, Eric Ward, Trevor Felcey, Endel White, Denis Abraham, Grace Gardner, Andrea Insoll, Paul Clarke, Yvonne Fuller and Marrianne Golden.
