Chris
attended Chelsea School of Art and Falmouth School of Art before
establishing himself in Portscatho, based in the heart of the Roseland
Peninsula on the South Cornish Coast. Chris's work has been widely
exhibited in both solo and group exhibitions throughout the United
Kingdom and Europe. He now plays an integral role in the promotion
of Cornish Art having founded the highly successful Portscatho Society
of Arts in 1984.
Chris's work can be seen at Truro Museum and Art Gallery as well
as at Falmouth Art Gallery. |
Chris opened his gallery in Portscatho in 1985 and moved to his
larger New Gallery premises in 1997 where studios are available
to view as well as the main showroom. The gallery is an artist-run
space specialising in the work of established West Country artists
- most of whom also exhibit in London. At the New Gallery there
is often the opportunity to meet the artists as well as to buy work
from them. Amongst regular exhibitors at the gallery are: Chris
Insoll, Lynn Golden, Eric Ward, Trevor Felcey, Endel White, Denis
Abraham, Grace Gardner, Andrea Insoll, Paul Clarke, Yvonne Fuller
and Marrianne Golden.
